Tracy is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who works with individual adults
and couples, providing trauma informed therapy for mood disorders, anxiety disorders and
trauma-related disorders. As a complex Trauma specialist, Tracy believes that you have a “true
self” that never was and never will be damaged by the anguish and grief that you’ve been
through. Tracy offers a wide array of trauma-informed skills that will assist you with trusting
yourself, feeling confident around others, enhancing the quality of your relationships, and
illuminating your power as you befriend yourself again.
Tracy’s approach is grounded in helping you befriend your nervous system, understand how your
environment and past have shaped you, while having enough resiliency to take on any challenge
that life may throw at you. The pace and methods of how you choose to heal is up to you, and
Tracy will meet you in a way that aims to discover and enhance your cognitive values, regulate
emotion, and tolerate distress. These methods include, but are not limited to, Internal Family
Systems (aka “parts work”), Cognitive Processing Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and more. You’ll
be given multiple opportunities to provide feedback on what direction you’d like to take your
journey.
As a trans-female, Tracy has extensive experience with multicultural and LGBTQ identities, but
any adult of any culture can visit! Others describe their collaboration with Tracy as gentle,
honest, genuine, and validating.
Approach
Tracy believes you are not broken and don’t need to be fixed. You only need to be respected and understood as a complete person.
Tracy’s work focuses on helping you reconnect with your capacity to love and be loved, shifting the focus from simply "overcoming anguish" to living fully despite pain.
Tracy aims to sometimes go "beyond talk therapy" by integrating skills and insights to regulate emotion, tolerate distress, and navigate complicated relationships to others and yourself.
