Julie (she/her) values creating a space with compassion, mutual respect, and trust. She understands therapy can feel daunting, so she views the start of your therapy journey as an opportunity for conversation and connection. She encourages you to move at your own pace, and if you do not know yours, she’s got your back and will guide you through it. Julie invites tears, laughter, anger, and overwhelm into the space. She will hold them for you and guide you in soothing and holding them yourself.
As a bicultural human and multiculturally curious therapist, Julie understands the importance of exploring how culture, family, race, religion, politics, and environment can affect mental health. She will make space for you to explore these themes and topics throughout the therapeutic experience. As a relational therapist, she prioritizes building comfort, trust, and safety in her relationships with clients. With a focus on complex trauma, Julie understands the importance of creative approaches to therapy and knows words sometimes fail to capture our inner world and bodily experiences. She will guide you in exploring your nervous system to find a way to regulate and regain autonomy over your body.
