Courtney Spring, LCPC

Roscoe Village

Courtney (she/they) is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with clinical experience in private practice, community mental health settings, and foster care. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, couples, and partners. At present, Courtney prioritizes collaborating with individuals, couples, and partners seeking to improve communication, navigate conflict, and address concerns related to sex and intimacy. Additionally, they are honored to support queer and trans folks in exploring identity, systemic harm, relationships, and sexual health, from a trauma-informed perspective.

Courtney strives to provide a safe and empowering space for people to learn about themselves and create long-lasting positive change in their lives. Her approach to therapy is holistic and relational. They believe in the power of a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship to create space for healing and growth. More than anything, Courtney is interested in helping folks heal from pain, explore their strengths, and develop more compassionate relationships with themselves.

Courtney received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and her Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Taking an eclectic approach to mental health treatment, they most enjoy using elements of Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS or “parts work”), and Narrative Therapy. Courtney is currently working toward certification in Sex Therapy through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT).

When Courtney is not in her therapy chair, she is usually cooking, reading, or camping with her wife, their ancient dog, and two very silly cats.
