Beth Hannibal, LCPC

Lincoln Square

Beth, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, offers a safe and supportive space for clients to explore life’s ups and downs. With over 15 years of experience in educational settings, she is passionate about helping people navigate the challenges that arise between early adolescence and adulthood—including identity development, anxiety, relationships, and major life transitions. Beth especially enjoys working with male-identifying clients ages 11–17 as they explore self-esteem, emotional regulation, friendship, and family dynamics.

Beth has experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, social anxiety disorder, and depression. Additionally, Beth has extensive experience working with adolescents who have experienced grief and loss. She also welcomes clients of all ages and backgrounds navigating intercultural and intergenerational family dynamics, neurodiversity, and LGBTQIA+ identities, and supports individuals in exploring how technology and AI shape their mental health and relationships.

Beth’s approach is rooted in genuine curiosity and collaboration, empowering clients with insight and practical skills to navigate the many waves of life. Drawing from DBT, CBT, and ACT, she helps clients build resilience, strengthen coping and interpersonal skills, and regulate their nervous systems. When appropriate, she weaves music, nature, movement, and pop culture into sessions to promote insight, healing, and connection.

Beth received her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education Language Arts from DePaul University, and a master’s in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University. She has previous experience as a k-12 school counselor in Washington, DC, Bellevue, WA, and Chicago, working with students to address executive functioning challenges, communication difficulties, college and career planning, perfectionism, bullying, trauma, and suicidal ideation.
